Samsung: give more than consumer electronics

Known primarily as a consumer electronics company, Samsung expects (India) 50% of the targeted Rs 22,000 crore turnover in 2011 – a 40% jump in the previous year — to come out of the cell and the business related to mobile phones, tablets, netbooks, printers, and computer screen. in a chat with Hindustan Times talking Ranjit Yadav, country Manager Samsung mobile phones and, in India, about how the company plans to achieve this goal.

How Your mobile product in India?
On your mobile phone, we are present in different segments: entry level handsets, multimedia handsets and a smartphone touchscreen and a tablet.We continue to maintain our leadership in the segment of the touchscreen and also has a strong advantage in dual SIM segment. Our current market share, as per Nielsen GFK, approximately 24.8% in value. This year we focus on developing our smartphone portfolio over the ' bada ', the Android platform and Windows and a plan to capture a market share of 40% of the smartphone segment and 50% of the market for Tablet PC. Samsung smartphone portfolio contributes 10% of handsets sold by us at India and we are trying to expand it's 15% this year.

And IT products?
We have a market share of 20% in our segment of netbooks, introduced in 2009 in India and we look to our share in notePCs to double this year. We have our portfolio with a portable PC model 28, 18 of which were launched in the first six months of this year grew considerably. More products will be launched. 2010 we closed with a market share of 5% on portable PC and I hope to double that share this year. The portable PC market Total stands at three million years ago and is expected to show healthy growth this year. We hope our netbook sales to 40% of the total US portable PC sales. We started our NF series netbooks at the end of 2010, which sold well. We continue to lead in the monitor (16.0%, value) and saw a 25% market share in this year's printer, from 11.1% last year. We began to de's worlds smallest Laser printer, MFP, 3201 scx. last year, after the success of the ML-1666, the world's smallest laser printer. We will provide a solution for every user audience with diverse requirements.
